Today, Richter Collective is bringing a nice story! And So I Watch You From Afar is putting out a new single called Search:Party:Animal. The single itself is already available as a free download, but it will also be released as a 7″ on April 4th. In return of this nice new single, they’re also issuing a challenge: A competition for both remixing the new single and doing artwork for the release! The deadline is on March 6th.
I’m streaming it all the time. That’s because it’s only for sale as a 12″ in the US, and there’s no apparent digital release.
Hume is prog-rock by means of flow and length, but the sound can be described as largely indie-rock, and it’s not dull or depressing. It’s refreshing like their label-mates Buildings. Maybe it could sound like a prog’ed version of Maps & Atlases. Oh well, listen.. it’s good. That’s why it’s here.

- Honey for Petzi has released a new album, General Thoughts and Tastes. I really like it, it’s sort of going more in the direction of American Analog Set and Pinback, but definitely still keeping their old sound and general instrumental grounds. Listen here »
